Fabienne Ott
With her company Art Empowers, Fabienne Ott realizes art education programs that use art and its potential to activate children and young people and help them to experience self-empowerment and perceive themselves as active members of our society.
Art Empowers’ projects combine the roles of curators and art mediators and include the part of art educators in the curatorial process from the very beginning.
In my point of view, a constitutional pedagogy is necessary today. The projects, which are based on a collaboration with artists, children and curators, are intended to help children to get a little closer to their own constitution.
The Postgraduate Programmme in Curating helped me to create a theoretical basis for my work. Within the framework of a discursive platform, I received new insights for my curatorial approach.
