Vita Nova

Vincent Meessen will screen his last film Vita Nova (2009), a "conceptual documentary" which is part of a research-based project focused on the conceptual, narrative and realist heritages let by french auteur and critic Roland Barthes. Meessen will propose the speculative concept of becoming-artist as a possible way to transform documents into experiences and vice-versa.

Vincent Meessen (U.S.A., 1971; lives in Brussels) produces work at the crossroads of the documentary and conceptual art.
