Based on manifold research and practice on web-based curatorial approaches, this online exhibition aims to transcend the physical restrictions of conventional exhibitions such as time, space or distance. The subject of this virtual exhibition space is based on the proposition that humans innately have
a desire for OTHER PLACES—and art has taken the role to mediate this desire. “This merely to say that the personal and social consequences of any medium—that is of any extension of ourselves— result from the new scale that is introduced into our affairs by each extension of ourselves (…)” Marshall McLuhan-Understanding media: the extensions of man-1994.
