Anja Lückenkemper

Curatorial Talk

16 April 2021 18:00 - 19:30
Online

Anja Lückenkemper is invited to talk about her curatorial practice and experiences in institutional as well as non-institutional contexts. Her research is focusing on an analysis of the present in its historical and global embedding, with a special interest in the construction of knowledge – in particular, the conditions and ideological entrapments under which knowledge production takes place. She is interested in questions concerning solidarity, as well as labor and labor conditions, here with a focus on feminism and gender, and in the (artistic) construction of identity. Through a selection of projects, Anja will give an introduction into her work and reflect on issues and challenges along the way.

Anja Lückenkemper is a curator and writer based in Berlin. She has curated exhibitions and projects at institutions including daadgallery, Berlin; Goethe-Institute Athens; KW – Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin; and Kunstverein Munich. 2016/17 she was artistic director of Kunstverein Göttingen. As author and editor she frequently publishes texts, zines and books on contemporary art practices. Currently, she is curator for Art in Public Space at Kunsthalle Osnabrück and participant in the PhD in Practice in Curating programme.
