At the Kochi-Muziris Biennale 2022 - Who put out the fire? was a series of seven films created from community participation focussed on the idea of patriarchy and gender positioning in Kerala.
The talk concerns the creation of a project exhibited at the Kochi Muziris Biennale 2022. Titled Who Put Out the Fire?, it examines the possibilities of participatory art bringing in the the idea of Relational Aesthetics and Social Impact. In the session, one would be taken through the working of the project, the process, the exhibition and lastly, Its outcome. The continuation of the idea is further presented with another exhibition at a public space, which brings in the possibilities of traditional and contemporary art, and social impact.

Tanya Abraham is a writer and an art curator based in Kochi, India. She is the founder of the non-profit The Art Outreach Society in Kochi and has completed a PhD in Practice in Curating at the University of Reading, UK. She is an invited member of FICCI Arts & Culture Advisory committee initiated by the Ministry of Culture, Govt of India.
