From Curating to Publishing and Back
Curating Degree Zero Archive allowed us to present and discuss curatorial projects and approaches. The archive was shown very differently in each case and was constantly expanded. This archive became heavier and heavier and could no longer be transported. So we initiated OnCurating, a magazine on curatorial practice and theory. However, we also used this format to make exhibition-like projects, how does the discourse with and around exhibitions manifest itself and how can we be an agent in it? What would be interesting for a OnCurating based on the Berlin art scene?
Prof. Dr. Dorothee Richter is head of the OnCurating Academy in Berlin, initiator with Barnaby Drablle of Curating Degree Zero Archive, founder of OnCurating magazine, she is a professor and head of a phd group at the university of Reading, UK. She also published the film „FluxUsNow – curating explored with a camera“ together with Ronald Kolb.
