Dorothee Richter and Ronald Kolb

De-colonizing Art Institutions

11 March 2016 19:00 - 21:00
Wuerttembergischer Kunstverein

Travelling intensively for our project „Curating explored with a camera“, (working title: Curating, politics of display, politics of site, politics of transfer and translation) which will propose an archive with video recorded interviews with curators, we became more and more aware of the fundamental western paradigms which still formulate profoundly contemporary art institutions. Our interview partners in Bangladesh and South Africa made very interesting propositions, concerning protocols and re-organising art institutions. We would like to share some rough cut glimpses into the ongoing research project.
