Andrea speaks about her experience as one of the first team members and curatorial advisor for documenta 14 and the organization and realization of this big event, which took place in two cities, Athens and Kassel.

Andrea Linnenkohl (born 1972 in Göttingen, Germany) studied art history, sociology and European ethnology/cultural anthropology in Göttingen. In 2006 she assisted René Block, the Artistic Director of Kunsthalle Fridericianum and was engaged in the realisation of the 47th October Salon under the title Art, Life & Confusion in Belgrade, Serbia, in the same year. From 2008 to 2011 she was Curator at Kunsthalle Fridericianum under Artistic Director Rein Wolfs. Her recent employment as assistant to the Artistic Director Adam Szymczyk and Curatorial Advisor for documenta 14 followed two prior engagements with the event: in 2007 she was Project Planner and Assistant to the Head of Installation of documenta 12, directed by Roger M. Buergel; in 2012, for the thirteenth edition directed by Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev, she was a Project Manager for the two main venues in the installation office. In 2013, she worked on the anniversary edition of the Kassel Documentary Film and Video Festival. In addition to her work with Kunsthalle Fridericianum, she has realized her own curatorial projects such as the group exhibition this is not the end (2012/2013) at Galerie Loyal in Kassel, Germany.
